On August 1, 1966, a group of Swiss conscientious objectors started a model WK organized by the International Association for Civilian Service above Albinen in the canton of Valais. The WK was to serve to show the population and the authorities what a military alternative service might look like in the future. The group is to prepare the construction of a mountain road from Albinen to Torrentalp and sets off with full luggage to the place of work.
