[Announcement. His Majesty the Kaiser has ordered the mobilisation of the Army and Navy. 1. The first mobilisation day is the 2nd of August 1914; the second [mobilisation day is the] 3rd of August 1914; the third [mobilisation day is the] 4th of August 1914; the fourth [mobilisation day is the] 5th of August 1914; the fifth [mobilisation day is the] 6th of August 1914, and so on. 2. All officers, NCOs and men with reserve status, including replacement reservists, must report punctually at the time indicated on their war orders at the designated place, whereas only those provided with a special document may initially stay in their home town. 3. All men not at present under orders as well as those who are not in possession of a war order or a special document, must apply immediately to the head registration offices of the administrative district command so that a decision can be reached. The only exceptions are those expressly exempted from reporting for military service in the case of mobilisation. 4. All conscripts are entitled to free railway travel to reach their place of enlistment without buying a ticket, and without first inquiring at the ticket office, merely by showing the war order or other military papers to the train officials. Marching money will be received at the troop unit, not from the local authority. 5. Anyone who fails to act on his war orders extremely promptly will be punished in accordance with the full severity of the war laws. 6. All horses are to be kept in a state of readiness so that they can be produced immediately in accordance with special instructions, and may no longer leave the local administrative district. 7.
