Actor Charlton Heston, First Vice President of the National Rifle Association, appears at a news conference May 4 in Beverly Hills to comment on the NBC television movie "The Long Island Incident" which was telecast May 3. Heston stated: "[Barbra Streisand] used her power as a producer to perpetrate a fraud on the American people with respect to the individual right to keep and bear arms, and I will debate her at any time or place of her choosing." The NRA claims that the movie misrepresents the Second Ammendment to the U.S. Constitution, which is the right to bear arms.
