Two lovers stop in the dark atrium of a house, in Rome. Suddenly a stranger enters the door, catches a glimpse of the shadows and thinks about the presence of thieves. The same suspicion strikes the two lovers. Intimations and threats meet in the dark, until the two men throw themselves against each other, fighting. Some tenants intervene armed with a pocket light bulb. And the young man - alas - recognizes in the opponent none other than the girl's father, the future father-in-law...
