The Fox by the Tail (Colour Litho)

The fox by the tail. A young shepherd from Upper Valsesia, Riccardo B discovers a fox among the stones that gather near his hut. He faces it without fear. The fox runs away between two large stones, but leaves its tail outside. The shepherd grabs the tail and starts pulling vigorously. The fox comes out in spite of himself. But before she can react and bite it, the shepherd lifts her high, turns it twice or three times in the air, and forcefully throws it to the ground, killing her.
