Iranian opposition fighters inspect the remains of a car bomb that exploded near a Mujahideen Khalq base in Basrah on September 25 in this picture released by the group September 27. The Iraqi-based Iranian Mujahideen Khalq opposition group said on Monday it had foiled a car bomb attack by Iranian agents near its offices in the centre of Baghdad. The Mujahideen use Iraq as a base for attacks on Iran, and have tanks, heavy guns and helicopter gunships located close to the Iranian border. They have claimed responsibility for a number of assassinations of Iranian officials.
