Len Harvey. One of the most experienced of British boxers, Len Harvey began as a schoolboy and gained fame as a fly-weight at 14 years of age. Graduated through the various weights to become British heavyweight champion with victory over Jack Petersen who subsequently regained the title from Harvey. Harvey has had hundreds of contests, but is such a brilliant defensive fighter that his features bear little or no sign of his connection with the noble art. Has held titles at various weights and always been ready to defend them. Illustration for Photocard issued by Ardath Tobacco in c.1936.
