Election Hall. Built by Lupton as a library. Converted by Sir Thomas Smith, 1549, into a dining-hall. Illustration for Eton College by Christopher Hussey (2nd edn, Country Life, 1923). According to the preface of the second edition, most of the photographs are the work of Edgar Ward, although the Provost’s Lodge was photographed by A E Henson.
