Three-year-old Yehuda Freiman gets his first haircut ever from his father Yitzhak August 14 in a special religious ceremony in the Isaac hall of the Cave of the Patriarchs, traditional site of the tombs of the biblical Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The site is usually used as a Moslem mosque but open today to Jews only for special prayers ahead of next month's Jewish new year. The family received special permission from the Israeli army to hold the ceremony in the hall on condition that a police officer (2nd L) be assigned to guard the scissors as all weapons have been banned from the disputed building since a Jewish settler massacred 29 Moslem worshippers in 1994.
