A visitor to the National Opal Collection store looks at the world's only complete opalised fossil on display from the Australian Museum's A$6 billion (US$3.5 billion) collection in Sydney October 31, 2000. The museum has decided to make available for hire, to people and companies who are able to guarantee a secure venue, most of it's collection items which include prehistoric fossils, paintings, carvings, statues, primitive weaponary, stuffed and preserved animals and musical instruments. The Museum believes that this will raise some much needed funds and allow much of it's collection to be displayed instead of being kept in a storeroom. The animal displayed is a pilosaur.
