Luftballon. Es war ein Ereignis, als im Jahre 1783 in Paris zum erstenmal ein mit Gas gefullter Ballon in die Luft stieg, der nach seinen Erfindern, den Brudern Montgolfier, Montgolfiere genannt wurde. Man benutzte den Fesselballon bald zu wissenschaftlichen, hauptsachlich meteorologischen Zwecken. Erst Ende des 19 Jahrh gelang die Erfindung des lenkbaren Flugzeuges und Luftschiffes.
