Brunnen Und Tranke. Vielfaltig waren fruher die Formen der fliessenden Brunnen. Oft sind sie mit FIguren und Zierat geschmuckt. Brunnenheilige beschirmen ihren Bezirk, z.B. St Florian, der aus einem Kubel auf ein brennendes Haus Wasser giesst. Der Brunnen gibt Gelegenheit, zu schopfen, zu trinken und zu tranken, und wird so oft zum Mittelpunkt in dem werklichen Leben der Kleinstadt. Translation: Fountain and Drinking Trough. The forms of flowing fountains used to be diverse. They are often adorned with figures and ornaments. Well saints protect their district, e.g. St Florian, who pours water from a bucket onto a burning house. The fountain provides an opportunity to draw, drink and drink, and so often becomes the focal point of small town industrial life.
