India General Service Medal 1854-95, with clasp: Chin Hills 1892-1893, awarded to Clerk T Kenny, Army Postal Department. The Indian General Service Medal was approved on 1 March 1854. It was awarded to all ranks for various military campaigns on the subcontinent between 1852 and 1895. Each battle or campaign covered by the medal was represented by a clasp on the ribbon, of which 24 were issued, including ‘Chin Hills 1892-1893’, a small punitive expedition against rebellious tribes in Burma.
