'North View of Stowe House, Buckinghamshire; the Seat of his Grace the Duke of Buckingham and Chandos. K. G. Her Majesty Queen Victoria and His Royal Highness Prince Albert visited Stowe January 15th 1845, and was receved (sic) by the Duke and Duchess at this Portico.' \r\nShowing a central block of three/four storeys with a portico, and balustrading with urns around the edge of the flat roof. On either side of this block are extensive wings of one storey. The left wing is colonnaded and appears to be a long corridor. An expanse of lawn is shown in front of the house with the statue of a man on horse-back in the middle.\r\n'J. Buckler.'
