Image description

Bush television Model 176, in wood casing and on detachable chromium-plated legs, 1968. The screen of the rectangular television has a silver plastic mount surrounded by dark grey painted wood. To the right of the screen is the sound amplifier shown by seven vertical columns cut out of the wood casing. Below this is the Bush logo of a red triangle and tub in an aluminium circle within a black square. The vertical aluminium strip adajacent to this, houses the volume control button and six buttons for the television channels, two for BBC2, two for ITA1 and two for BBC1. Below the buttons is printed 'BUSH' in red. The television stands on splayed tubular legs which run underneath the base of the television to provide support. There are four legs comprising of two tubular columns which are 7 cm wide at the top tapering at the feet, three of which have black plastic feet caps. The back of the television has a brown cover with three buttons for brightness and contrast, and four buttons for horizontal hold, height and vertical hold. Television has black plastic flex and white plastic plug.
