Top left: A GERMAN JEWELLED AND ENAMELLED GOLD ROYAL PRESENTATION SNUFF-BOX by Carl Martin Weishaupt & Söhne, marked, Hanau, circa 1860, struck with inventory numbers '1960' and '3599' Cartouche-shaped box, the lid and lobed baluster sides engraved, cast and embossed with floral scrolls partly enamelled in opaque blue, the cover applied with an oval convex translucent blue guilloché enamel plaque set with old and rose-cut diamond studded mirrored initials 'FW' a royal coronet above, within a dye-stamped floral gold rim, flanked by eight silver-mounted old-cut diamonds, the base centred with a reserve engraved with a posy of flowers surrounded by feathered, foliate and c-shaped scrolls 3¾ in. (95 mm.) wide top right: A GERMAN PASTE-SET AND ENAMELLED GOLD PRESENTATION SNUFF-BOX by Carl Martin Weishaupt & Söhne, marked with a '14' for 14ct. gold above, with the Hanau town mark, circa 1860, struck with inventory numbers '2676' and '1347' and two other marks Cartouche-shaped box, the lid, wavy baluster sides and base engraved, cast and stamped with foliate scrolls and flowers partly enamelled in opaque blue, the cover set with a raised sablé panel stamped with reeded scrolls, foliage and flowers and centred with a blue enamel tondo applied with the vari-colour enamelled arms of the Hanse-towns of Bremen, Lübeck and Hamburg surmounted by gold and enamelled heraldic trophies, within a paste surround, the left and right hand sides flanked by a total of six large paste stones in silver mounts, foliate wavy thumbpiece 37/8 in. (97 mm.) wide Centre right: A SWISS ENAMELLED SILVER-GILT SINGING-BIRD BOX by Jacques Bruguier, the movement scratched in with address 'Jacques Bruguier Cendrier 14 - Genève' and numbered 'No XXXXXX', Geneva, circa 1860/1880 Rectangular box with receding lobed corners, the cover applied with hunting trophies and foliate scrolls cast in silver-gilt on a blue enamelled ground surrounded by reeded strapwork, a slide on the front side opening the hinged oval flap enamelled with a vase of flowers against a mountainous riverside landscape view, and releasing the mechanism of the colourfully plumed singing bird rotating on its axis, flapping its wings, turning its head and opening its beak, the sides engraved and enamelled in blue and black with a latticework enclosing green enamelled flowerheads, the base engraved with a guilloché pattern enclosing a blank floral reserve, the key in rear key compartment 3.13/16 in.
