The worthy Yellow Flames stand out even in war. Two Finance Guards who with some indigenous soldiers guarded at a border post between East Africa and Sudan, made a daring coup against a reduced English, taking by surprise the enemy and taking the thirty-two men of the garrison prisoner. Instead of the English flag on the fort conquered, the valiant Guards of Finance immediately hoisted the tricolor. Illustration for Courier Sunday, 28 July 1940.
