Detail. The scene depicts the Apparition to Rufino, represented while he gets up from the bed with his hands joined in prayer and the gaze turned towards the sky, from which Saint Peter descends holding out his right arm; beside the bed there are two standing femenine figures, one of them is a nun; in the opposite side of the bed, facing the observer backwards, there is another woman who looks upwards, lifting her hand to her forehead; in the lower part of the fresco the scene is completed by a dame in a long yellow dress, who holds out a white sheet to a child, and an older maid with closed eyes, who sleeps sitting and resting her head on a hand
