British (English) School. Oil painting on canvas laid down on hardboard (oval), Anne Peacock, Mrs George Butle Conyngham (d.1754), British (English) School, early 18th century. An oval, half-length portrait of a young woman, turned slightly to the right, against a dark background, gazing at the spectator, wearing a red cross-over dress with a blue lining over a white chemise, her light brown (blonde?) hair dressed high with a centre parting and falling down over her left shoulder, her right hand holding her hair as it falls over her shoulder to her breast.
