As their seventy-year struggle neared its goal, major party candidates offered their support of the suffrage cause. In 1916, both Wilson and Hughes expressed solidarity with the women's suffrage movement. This poster was issued in conjunction with the "Women's Campaign Train for Hughes. A National Tour of Patriotic Women To Give Us A Great President for a Great Crisis." The campaign train is seen crisscrossing the continent and Uncle Sam greets a group of these patriotic women and their toddlers., 1916
