Resorts World Birmingham is a new leisure complex full of designer shops and stylish bars, due to open on 21 October 2015.  Inspired by Manhattan’s fashionable and historical Hell’s Kitchen, Chelsea and Meatpacking Districts, it's High Line New York Bar & Lounge is an acknowledgement to the diverse food and drink culture of New York.

Resorts World Birmingham approached Bridgeman as they were looking for a contemporary art image that reflected the New York identity of the Bar. Bridgeman Studio artists are briefed to supply large files of their work so the 5500 x 1570mm size of the mural was not a problem for the New York skyline image requested.

Australian artist, Catherine Abel is renowned internationally for her striking figurative oil paintings. Combining the sleek, stylised geometry of the Art Deco period with the clarity, richness of colour, and depth of light of the Italian Renaissance Masters, her works are powerfully seductive compositions of beauty, elegance, strength and grace.
