Natural Photograms

Angela Easterling has developed the photogram, one of the earliest forms of photography, to create stylish contemporary images of nature.

Influenced by the work of c.19th photographer Fox Talbot and botanical photographer Anna Atkins, Angela has developed a unique style of photography where no camera is required. Each image is dependent upon exposure, light source, humidity and, most significantly, the combination of the plant materials with sensitised paper.

Angela has enjoyed collaborating with some of the world’s most eminent botanical scientists to create solo exhibitions at both at The Eden Project and RBG Kew, travelling to the Seychelles and BVI to collect specimens.

Her botanical images have also been exhibited and held in collections at the V&A. Over 50 high resolution images are available for licensing.
