"My work is almost entirely concerned with the natural world. I seek to invoke the atmosphere of place by capturing the sense of light and heat, reflections in water and wide horizons using strong shapes and colours."

Angela Newberry completed a post graduate degree at the Royal College of Art (London), and won the Vogue Talent contest upon graduation in 1958. This led to work with Conde Nast Publications and interior design projects, which was then followed by full-time printmaking.

She has exhibited at international biennales in Yugoslavia and Bulgaria and in galleries in Australia, Britain, France and the USA. Her work has been purchased for both private and public collections.

Linocuts for licensing via Bridgeman

Newberry has produced a large body of linocuts and screenprints which are now available for licensing via the Bridgeman Art Library.

Many of these images are inspired by her travels to remote areas including the Australian outback, Amazon rain forests and rural England. She has also produced some lovely floral designs which we believe will translate very well for gift products.
