Animating the Ancient

The legendary artifacts of Egypt are some of the most prized treasures in the world. The Laboratorriorosso collection features a very special set of three-dimensional animated models.

Showcasing, in breath-taking detail, some of the most famed pieces from Egyptian history, the collection includes Tutankhamun's funerary mask,  the statue of Khufu, and the famed Lotus Head statuette. Alongside these treasures, the tombs of KhufuQar and the pyramids of Saqqara can be explored. Cast a birds eye view over the grounds or swoop into the burial chambers as though on your own archaeological adventure.

The three-dimensional models currently within our archive can be re-animated to change the movement on request. We also hold a long list of other images that can be made into similar 3D clips on request, including statues of Mersuankh, ceremonial daggers, shabtis and a range of Islamic artifacts.

A lesson in the Old Kingdom

The Laboratoriorosso collection also includes a set of edited shorts looking at the history of ancient Egypt.  Presenter led by archaeologists and scientists, these short documentaries delve into the facts and mysteries of specific temples, tombs, practices and beliefs from the ancient dynasties.

The practice of Animal Mummification is explained by Salima Ikram, professor of Egyptology at the American University in Cairo whilst Farouk Gomaa and Vasko Dobrev take us on excavations of previously unseen tombs. Dr Mark Lehner, who was part of the first excavation of the Giza Necropolis in 1988/89, explores the history of the Giza Pyramid builders and the beast-like prehistoric cave paintings, recently discovered in the Western Desert, are analyzed to understand their origins.

Further shorts can be created on request, utilizing the wealth of stock, interviews and 3D models that feature within this exclusive collection. For more information on tailor-made edited shorts from the Laboratoriorosso collection, contact Helen Higbee.

Conceptual and Creative

Some of the most dramatic footage from this collection includes timelapse sequences and static landscape shots, capturing the vast beauty of the area.

The extreme heat of the desert is humorously captured by one man seeking shade under his camel and the rose tinted skyline over the Red Sea at Sunset creates a truly romantic setting. All of these stock clips have been carefully cataloged with conceptual search terms so illsutrations of adventure, solitude, togetherness and tranquility all feature within.

Many of the clips include free space which can be manipulated in any design to incorporate text or logos. The Laboratoriorosso collection is completely rights cleared and available for editorial and commercial projects.
