Semi toyos, bass siku, pan-flute, native to the areas surrounding Lake Titicaca between the countries of Peru and Bolivia. Made from reeds, tuned diatonically in the Key of G MAJOR; consists of two separate halves, with the musical scale divided between both halves. Traditionally, the Siku is always played between two musicians, with each player taking one half of the instrument. The oldest known examples date back to 4200 BC. Peru Ñ modern Andean panpipes may be called Siku, Antara or Zampoa.
